The Vox Cambridge Reverb V1031 is a charming solid-state combo amplifier from 1967 known for its rich, vintage tone. This particular unit is rated in good condition and has undergone significant refurbishments. Notable among its features are its single channel with three inputs, and a comprehensive set of controls including volume, treble, bass, reverb, tremolo speed, and tremolo depth. Unique components such as a foot switchable MRB (Mid Range Boost) add versatility. The unit has been converted to accommodate a third prong for safe grounding and has been fitted with minor circuit enhancements (better grounding). The rear baffle board, which had split, was expertly repaired with a strip of laminate wood for reinforcement. Despite its quirks typical of early solid-state designs, like a tremolo that subtly increases volume, and inherent cosmetic signs of age including necks and various scratches, this amp maintains a robust operational state and retains the classic allure of its era.
